I hope to see everyone at the August 18th meeting. All officers should arrive by 6:00 p.m. Regular Meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. I’m hoping the quality of the newsletter is as good as John’s was. Thanks again John for your help and guidance over the last few months.

I would like to thank the Russ and Joann Talaski family for volunteering to be in charge of the BBQ chicken dinner at the OLLH Summer Festival.  Also a thank you to the following workers: Bob and Arlene Emming, Dale Emming, Rodney Emming, Leonard Emming, Brian Laceski, Mike Guza, Paul and Jeanette Ginther, Jerry Bohn, Gerald Schroeder, Paul Pawlowski, and anyone else that may have contributed.

I also would like to thank the following Knights for attending the Tri-District Meeting in Cass City with me: Carl Siemen, Francisco Aguilera, Dennis Stacer, District Deputy Dale Gilbert, and Insurance Agent Jim Swartz.

Our upcoming Golf Benefit is scheduled for September 11, 2010 at Verona Hills Golf Course. We will be needing workers. Please contact one of the committee members: John Howison (989)415-3250, Emmett Trudeau (989)315-4073, or Jeff Woycehoski. Contact Leonard Goniwicha at 479-3314 if you would like to help with the Chicken BBQ. Auction items and golf teams are still needed, contact Jim Swartz at 479-6101.

Thanks to District Deputy Dale Gilbert and District Warden Harold Conley, Father Bill, and Deacon Bob for helping with the installation of officers.  We are looking for backup members for the 1st degree team and someone to help with the music during the installation, contact John Howison or myself.

At the August meeting we will be discussing the sound system in church and possibly voting on the replacement of it. The total cost is around $2000. Please plan on attending! Father Bill will have more details.

There will be a Major Degree held in Lapeer on September 12, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree. Please contact me at 479-9249 if interested.  I will be taking 2 or 3 new members.
